The window.onload event is used by programmers to kick-start their web applications. Window.onload Not Working In Ie11

I used a solution that I happened to already have on my laptop on an exam. Function declarations are very different from function expressions. There are several ways round this. Most of my problems seem to be caused in my attempt to append something to the body, while the body is the last thing in the DOM-Tree, which is complete.

I have not yet researched about the difference(s) between document.body.onload and document.onload in Firefox (or IE), but if you're only using a small piece of javascript code, you should be alright Please help. If I put a standard link to open Shadowbox does work in IE, so it's not the shadowbox, it's definitely the window.onload bit which isn't working.
